Shrimp and Pasta in a White Wine Cream Sauce

Shrimp and Pasta in a White Wine Cream Sauce

This shrimp and pasta in a white wine cream sauce recipe is what I’d call and easy pantry recipe.  I made this dinner after work with no stop at the grocery store on the way home.  I just grabbed what was in the pantry and the freezer and tossed the ingredients together.  Easy, simple, delicious.  You can use any shape of pasta and even toss in some veggies if you are so inclined. I also love that this is a one-pot meal so it’s easy clean-up as well.   Read more

Slow Cooker Roast Beef and Gravy

Roast beef and gravy on a week night?  You betcha!  Don’t even bother putting your slow cooker away.  I have so many delicious recipes I’m going to be cooking and when you see them, you will want to cook them all too!  You can cook this roast beef recipe with your favorite fall root vegetables.  Just toss them in with the meat and they will be ready at the end of the day.  If you mash up some potatoes, you can serve the roast beef, gravy and veggies right on top.

New York Cherry Cheesecake

This New York style cherry cheesecake is one I grew up eating.  I honesty have no idea where the recipe originated, as it was passed down through my family.  It can’t be too old since it calls for a box of cake mix.  Normally I will not use cake mix as I prefer to make my own, but this recipe just nails it.  The cheesecake can vary in three different sizes, depending on what you have on hand and your preference.  You can make it in one 13×9 pan, one large springform pan, or 2 9″ cake pans.  If you use the cake pans, remember to split the crust evenly between the two and split the batter and topping evenly.

Perfect Pancake

Pancake

There’s nothing better for a weekend breakfast than pancakes.  The smell of coffee, the sizzle of bacon or sausage and bubbly flip of a pancake.  This recipe is my go-to favorite for basic pancakes.  No need to spend any extra money at the grocery store on those boxed pancake mixes.  You can even make the dry ingredients in advance to keep on-hand when you want to make it even more simple.
