Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Easy slow cooker turkey chili recipe. Healthy and customizable to low carb or Keto. 



1 tablespoon olive oil
2 pounds 93% lean ground turkey
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 15 ounce cans diced tomatoes
1 15 ounce can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano


  1. In a large skillet heated to medium, add the olive oil and ground turkey. Cook the turkey, breaking it up into pieces as it begins to brown. Once the turkey begins to brown, add the onion and peppers, cooking until they just begin to soften, about 3 minutes. Add the garlic, cook 2 minutes more. Stir in the tomato paste and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined and transfer to the slow cooker. 
  2. To the slow cooker add the canned tomatoes, kidney beans, chicken broth, chili powder, cumin, and oregano. Mix well. 
  3. Cook on high for 5 hours, give it a taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
