A perfect way to use up leftover Thanksgiving turkey is to turn it into a turkey Waldorf salad. The Waldorf salad was first created in 1896 by the Waldorf Astoria chef for a charity ball benefitting St. Mary's Hospital for Children. The original salad was made of just mayonnaise, apples, and celery. Over the years folks have added all kinds of things, like pears, raisins, and nuts. This recipe adds the wonderful addition of grapes, walnuts, and turkey.

Gather up your ingredients.

In a large salad bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper.

Add turkey, walnuts, celery, apples, and grapes. Toss to coat.

Serve on a bed of lettuce.
Leftovers will keep for up to three days in a sealed, refrigerated container.
